A Sick Little Girl... But Still SO Cute

We have been sick around the Surla house. You name it; we had it. Head cold, stomach flu, regular flu, and then a head cold again. But Daisy...poor Daisy has been sick for over TWO WEEKS! It started off as a very stubborn fever. For two days, neither Motrin or Tylenol made any noticeable difference. Finally the fever broke, but by that time her nose was running and the congestion had began. For the next week she fought the head cold- it would get a little better, and then a little worse. She also started pulling at her ears.

Last Sunday she developed a cough that kept waking her up from her sleep. So on Monday we trotted over to Kaiser and found that our Daisy had infections in both ears and what the doctor called a mild form of *pneumonia.* Just typing that makes me feel like a bad mom (how could I not know that it was bad enough to be PNEUMONIA?), but the doctor reassured me that it was a very slight case, and with medicine should would be feeling better quickly.

Tonight, the coughing almost completely gone, and the nose has cleared up. She has a few... er, *digestive* problems due to the antibiotics, but even that isn't too bad.

So we're on the mend.

The first picture was taken by Daddy this morning; he found us this way on the guest bed.

These pictures are from her bath tonight. It's amazing how she poses for the camera. Like she was born too, huh?
