Catching Up

The end of the summer was supposed to be like a long lazy Sunday... but it didn't quite turn out that way! Jason's grandfather passed away, and we travelled to Minnesota to attend the services. Here's Daisy at the memorial:

It's been a while since I posted, so here's a pic that I forgot to put up right away. It was taken towards the end of July when my friends Carrie and Ramon visited. Carrie and I have known each other since high school, and Ramon is her husband. Until very recently, they lived in Spain. This picture was taken when they came to visit on their way to their new home in Illinois. The hat Daisy is wearing was made by Carrie for her.

The day before we left for Minnesota, we attended the Sacramento LDS Temple Open House. For those not familiar, temples are very sacred, exclusive places for Mormons, and non members are not allowed inside once the temple is dedicated for worship. Before that happens, they open it up for the public to tour. It was beautiful...

Daisy's feet now touch the bottom of the activity saucer, and she sits herself up well while playing in it, so we're letting her enjoy it regularly now. She definitely does enjoy it!

Since getting home, I've been getting ready for school to begin. One day we visited Daddy at work:

And lastly, daycare for Daisy is set and solid. We have a very nice provider named Elizabeth, and we are really fortunate to have come across her. Unfortunately, the first two days I needed to be back at work she was on vacation, so my WONDERFUL friend Lynasia watched her one day (and Aunt Jamie watched her the other). Here is a picture of Lynasia's daughter Sydney with Daisy. Sydney is 10 weeks older than Daisy, and it looks like they're going to be great friends!!!
